Raw Taekwondo Championships

We had a fantastic day at our annual Championships on Sunday 10 September. It was great to see our participation levels up in both poomsae and sparring with some players choosing to compete in both devisions. There were plenty of tough matches on the day and it was brilliant to watch each competitor rise to the occasion and do their best.

We had fantastic support from our parents at the club who rolled up their sleeves and tested their newly acquired skills in refereeing and corner judging. This was a massive help on the day and it was commented upon how smoothly the competition ran by other club coaches and it is a testament to everyones hard work in this area. We hope to have Raw represent as referees and corner judges at future comps, watch thus space. Special mention to those who helped out as well as compete on the day! Amazing multitasking, We salute you!

Thank you to all our Raw supporters who made the atmosphere really enjoyable and helped cheer on the team. There were a lot of inter club matches and it was lovely to see everyone support and encourage each other. We are really proud of what a friendly and inclusive club we have.

Over all a really successful and enjoyable day with lots of lessons learned to take back to the dojang and improve upon on in preparation for the next competition! Go team Raw!
