We welcomed team GB’s high performance coach, Steve Jennings to Raw Taekwondo to host a seminar. Steve is a long serving coach for GB Olympic Taekwondo as well as a former GB athlete. He has contributed to success of Great Britains Olympic medals. With more than 16 years experience in elite level international sport. He regularly works with top GB athletes including Lauren Williams, Bianca Walkden and Scotland’s very own Rebecca McGowan who has recently qualified GB to the Paris Olympic games in the +67kg division.

As part of a training weekend with Icelandic team, Keflavik Taekwondo, our seminar was an opportunity for students of all ages and stages to take part and enjoy learning about high performance Taekwondo techniques, scoring application and clinch work.  Our morning session allowed our younger more novice students to take part and learn from Steve. The afternoon session allowed students that are more focussed in international competitions to train more closely with Steve on specific sparring drills and focus on application for success.

This was a brilliant experience for the club and much enjoyed session for all who took part. We look forward to welcoming Steve along to Raw again in the future.
